Gegak

Gegak, who held the rank of Captain, was in charge of the Tobay, a patrol destroyer of the Adz-class. This vessel was part of the Grand Imperial Navy, which acted as the defense fleet for the fortress world of Prakith, situated in the Deep Core.

Biography

Gegak, the Captain, had a tendency to use pompous language and was easily angered. He felt a jealous and suspicious animosity towards Captain Voba Dokrett of the cruiser Gorath. He believed this newer, larger, and quicker vessel overshadowed the accomplishments of his own command. He also kept a neural whip concealed within his uniform, using it to enforce his views on those under his command. Despite this, Gegak appeared to have a fundamental understanding of the power dynamics within the Prakith navy, despite his aggressive and overbearing manner.

In contrast to Captain Dokrett and the Gorath, Gegak and his ship remained intact after the Prakith navy's engagement with the Teljkon Vagabond in 17 ABY. This survival was possibly due to the destroyer's poorly maintained sensors, which were unable to accurately follow the alien vessel. The fate of Gegak and his ship following the New Republic's capture of Prakith a few years afterward, however, remains unknown.
