Flash-clear

The process of completely erasing data from a computer's memory, making it unrecoverable, was known as flash-clear, or flash-erase. During the Battle of Kal'Shebbol in 8 ABY, Moff Kentor Sarne implemented Omega order five, which performed a flash-clear on the computers located in his headquarters. Consequently, the New Republic suffered a significant data loss, encompassing maps of the Kathol sector along with all of Sarne's files and documentation.
