Ella, a human stormtrooper within the ranks of the 501st Legion, served as part of Sith Lord Darth Vader's own personal legion. Alongside fellow stormtroopers Riccarn, Tig, Xander, and Deena Lorn, this trooper was a member of a fireteam. Having successfully completed numerous missions together, the members of this fireteam were subsequently assigned to a squad stationed on the Executor-class Star Dreadnought known as the Executor.
While stationed aboard the Super Star Destroyer, Ella would occasionally spend evenings with their squadmates, often observing trooper FS-451 sitting alone in the corner of the destroyer's mess hall, sipping alcohol illegally distilled by Xander, and pondering why 451 had not been promoted from the rank of stormtrooper. During 3 ABY, when the Executor journeyed to Cloud City, a tibanna mining colony, Ella, Riccarn, and Xander remained onboard the vessel, while Lorn, Tig, and FS-451 accompanied Vader down to the city.
The character of Ella is featured in "The Witness," a short story penned by Adam Christopher. This story was included in the 2020 short story collection titled From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back.
