Egome Fass

Egome Fass, a male Houk, served as an enforcer. He worked for a criminal mining outfit located on the planet Dellalt during the Galactic Civil War period. Fass became involved in Houk-Weequay gang disputes on Coruscant, and then enlisted as a strongman for the twins J'uoch and R'all, who were after the ancient treasure of the Queen of Ranroon. Their quest brought them into conflict with rival treasure hunters, including the massive Wookiee Chewbacca, whom Fass fought on multiple occasions. Fass initially gained the upper hand against Chewbacca, but the Wookiee later prevailed, killing the Houk by crushing him in a powerful bearhug, leading to his death.

Biography

Egome Fass, born in 45 BBY, belonged to the Houk species. This race was well-known for their impressive size and resilience. Fass, who experienced a harsh and violent youth, distinguished himself among Houks with his imposing physique and volatile nature. By the time of the Clone Wars, Fass had left his home world and moved to Coruscant, where he became entangled in local Houk gang conflicts. In 22 BBY, Fass participated in a large brawl with a Weequay gang in Eastport, which led to his arrest. The following month, Fass was arraigned alongside other offenders in Judicial Hearing Chamber Y-76 within the Judicial Arcology building. There, Fass and a Weequay named Ker-Zakk overpowered the bailiffs and reignited the fight. Security forces quickly stunned the two combatants into unconsciousness, after which the presiding Judicial Officer Warren Sloat called for an extended recess.

Chewbacca, the Wookiee who ultimately proved to be Egome Fass's match.

By 2 BBY, Fass had made his way to the remote Tion Hegemony. There, he secured employment as an enforcer for the twins J'uoch and R'all, who managed an illegal mining outfit on the planet Dellalt. In that year, their small-scale criminal operation uncovered a far greater opportunity than just illicit mining. They learned that a group of former Dellalt miners, Alexsandr "Trooper" Badure and the sisters Lanni and Hasti Troujow, had somehow discovered the log-recorder of the Queen of Ranroon. This was the legendary lost treasure ship belonging to the ancient galactic tyrant Xim. Fass and the twins, believing the recorder would lead them to the treasure, confronted the miners upon their return to Dellalt, after they had left to seek off-world assistance in locating the ship. A chaotic gunfight erupted in the streets outside Xim's treasure vaults, during which Fass engaged in his first confrontation with the opposing group's muscle, a massive Wookiee named Chewbacca. Fass ambushed Chewbacca, gaining a physical advantage, but the Wookiee's partner Han Solo intervened, preventing Fass from landing a decisive blow with a barrage of slugs that ricocheted off Fass' body armor. Ultimately, the battle concluded when Badure's group was forced to retreat into the wilderness, with Fass and the twins seizing their ship, the Millennium Falcon, as spoils.

However, Fass had not seen the last of Chewbacca or his companions. Several weeks later, the Wookiee and his allies infiltrated the mining camp, their arrival coinciding with an assault by a battalion of ancient war-robots commanded by the Survivors, descendants of Xim's honor guard who had previously lived in obscurity in the mountains. Fass and Chewbacca clashed again amidst the chaos of the battle, the two enormous humanoids engaging in hand-to-hand combat amid a hail of blaster bolts. Fass managed to put the Wookiee in a chokehold, only for Chewbacca to overpower the Houk and trap him in a bone-crushing bearhug that broke Fass' spine and resulted in his death.

Personality and traits

From a young age, Egome Fass was known for his toughness and violent tendencies. After becoming involved in Houk gang warfare in his 20s, Fass made a career out of physical intimidation, earning a reputation for his imposing size and quick temper. Even taller than the formidable Wookiee Chewbacca, the imposing Houk had no qualms about fighting dirty, but Chewbacca's exceptional strength and fighting spirit ultimately proved to be his undoing.
