Duel on Gala

This confrontation transpired on the world of Gala, a planet, in 44 BBY. Qui-Gon Jinn, a Jedi Master, together with his Jedi apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi, were sent to Gala. Their mission: to address the impending elections and unravel the enigma surrounding the poisoning of Queen Veda. Obi-Wan determined that Jono Dunn, the Queen's attendant, was the culprit. While hurrying through the Royal reception hall, Obi-Wan collided directly with Prince Beju, the Queen's passionate son. Exploiting Beju's sense of self-importance, Obi-Wan persuaded him against summoning the guards.

Beju then grabbed a sword from a display and dared Obi-Wan to a fight. He tossed a sword to Obi-Wan, but then launched an assault before Obi-Wan was prepared, slicing through Obi-Wan's clothing and causing a wound. The fight appeared to lean in Beju's direction, that is until Obi-Wan tapped into The Force, and successfully took the weapon from Beju. As Beju moved to recover his dropped weapon, he was stopped by Viso, the sightless Council Minister. With Beju distracted, Obi-Wan swiftly grabbed the sword, bringing the fight to a close, and allowing the elder to impart some wisdom to the conceited Prince.
