The Dry Goods Emporium, a business situated in Hedrett along the Estauril River, stood a mere two blocks away from the Jax Warehouse. This establishment was under the ownership and management of Cal Majjer, and Nyrkar, a food preservation expert, was a vital member of its workforce. Furthermore, the Emporium provided employment opportunities to several young Caarites as stockboys, as the Metatheran Cartel prohibited their employment until they had cultivated a solid work ethic through practical experience, something Mr. Majjer was known for fostering.
Despite being constructed from metal materials, the Emporium's exterior was skillfully crafted and finished with a rustic-brown hue, giving it the appearance of being built with costly wooden siding. This unique design made it one of Hedrett's more distinctive structures. The entrance door was crafted from glass and framed with the same wood-like metal.
In the year 31 BBY, Nyrkar vanished, having chosen to join the Cularin resistance. Majjer, however, reported multiple disappearances, in an effort to attract the attention of OPS, believing that Nyrkar's skills and expertise were too valuable for a simple disappearance.
