The diplomatic corps on the planet of Naboo, located in the Mid Rim, was established by the year 22 BBY. Tepoh, a Naboo native, at one point served this diplomatic organization in the roles of both an attendant and a member of a security detail. As the Clone Wars approached, Dormé, a handmaiden, kept tabs on everyone within the diplomatic corps. She was alerted whenever someone possessed talents that would make them a good fit for the staff of her employer, Senator Padmé Amidala. In 22 BBY, Dormé noticed Tepoh and invited zher to an interview. However, Dormé eventually shared Tepoh's details with Representative Saché, her former associate. Following Tepoh's hiring by the representative, Saché clarified that Dormé had initially interviewed zher because zher diplomatic corps experience had flagged zher skillset.
E. K. Johnston's young-adult novel, Queen's Hope, released in 2022, makes reference to the diplomatic corps.
