Dark Side priests

The Dark Side priests once held dominion over an uncharted jungle planet, the very location of the ominous Dark Side pyramids. The inhabitants of this world found effortless connection to the Force, leading many to delve into the teachings of the light side. However, others embraced the dark side, swiftly overpowering the light side adherents, forcing them into a life of hiding and constant pursuit. As time passed, these dark priests rose to become the absolute authority in both governmental and religious matters; the six most powerful among them ascended to the status of Dark Side priests, essentially becoming deities. And, as gods, they craved conflict and annihilation for anyone refusing to submit and tremble before them. To achieve this, they instituted a ritual of daily sacrifices. If no captured enemies were available for execution, they would randomly select one of their own followers through a lottery system. On certain days, the death toll reached hundreds.

With each kill executed using potent Force abilities, the dark side's foul essence seeped into the Altar of the Dark Side, situated atop the largest pyramid where these sacrifices occurred. Over time, the stone's depravity intensified to such an extent that the souls of the deceased became trapped within it, unable to merge with the Force. For two millennia, this cycle of death and war persisted without change. Throughout this period, a small number of light side adherents continuously fought against the dark priests. Sadly, these servants of the light were inevitably discovered and subjected to sacrifice. Master Zik'tath was among the last hundred to meet this fate.

Not long after Zik'tath's demise, the planet was engulfed in internal discord and rebellion, with the dark side manifesting itself through horrific wars and the ensuing brutal and barbaric carnage. A decade of unrelenting slaughter culminated in the complete annihilation of the planet's population. Nevertheless, the six priests, empowered by the dark side energies emanating from the Altar, managed to cling to a semblance of existence as Dark Side wraiths.
