Dark Horse Comics 7, a comic preview issue, was released by Dark Horse Comics in February of 1993. The cover features artwork of Nomi Sunrider, who would become a Jedi, protecting her daughter after her husband, Andur Sunrider, was killed. This issue also contains an afterword by Tom Veitch, the author of Star Wars, where he shares his thoughts on writing Tales of the Jedi.
Several comic issues that were scheduled for release in 1993 were previewed in Dark Horse Comics 7. The issue featured excerpts from the following:

While the excerpt from The Saga of Nomi Sunrider, Part 1 of 3 contains the same content as the final released comic, there is a notable difference in the coloring within Dark Horse Comics 7. The colors in Dark Horse Comics 7's excerpt are noticeably brighter and more vibrant when compared to the final version of The Saga of Nomi Sunrider, which utilizes a more earth-toned and less vibrant color palette.
