Dail'Liss

Dail'Liss, a Sith male Neti, held the position of librarian at the Odacer-Faustin Sith academy. Notable for his peculiar accent, where "yes" was pronounced "jess," he took on the role of caretaker for the academy library following the death of Darth Drear. His knowledge of Darth Drear's holocron made him the sole individual aware of Darth Scabrous's research. Dail'Liss managed to survive for a considerable period while the Sickness decimated the academy, finding refuge within the library. However, Scabrous eventually infected the Neti himself.

Scabrous manipulated Dail'Liss to draw Hestizo Trace into the library, achieving this by imitating the voice of the Murakami orchid, which had miraculously survived the Sickness. This strategy proved successful, leading to Hestizo's capture by Scabrous. Concurrently, Dail'Liss began to succumb to the Sickness, and in his deranged state, he proceeded to incinerate all the library's scrolls and holobooks. The Jedi Rojo Trace, Hestizo's sibling, discovered him. After being held captive by the Neti and witnessing his memories of discovering the Sith Temple beneath the library, Trace broke free and pursued his sister.

Behind the scenes

Dail'Liss made an appearance in Joe Schreiber's 2011 novel, Red Harvest. In the Neti language, his name signified "lover of knowledge."
