Coromont Vizzle

During the High Republic Era, Maz Kanata's associate, Coromont Vizzle, was an alien criminal and notorious figure. As a celebrated outlaw, Vizzle's name echoed in songs throughout the galaxy, many of which he himself composed. This rotund pirate had a complicated relationship with Officer Rado, a small lawman who was assigned to constantly observe Vizzle, riding on his back to monitor any illegal activity. However, Rado never documented his findings, fearing his own implication. Vizzle stood with Kanata around 382 BBY during a turf war against the Dank Graks, accompanying her crew to uncover their rivals' strategies.

Biography

Coromont Vizzle, a pirate from an alien species, gained notoriety during the High Republic Era, famous for both his actions and frequent arrests. Following a particular legal entanglement, the court mandated that Officer Rado, a diminutive officer, would constantly supervise Vizzle, reporting any future crimes. However, Rado's presence during such acts would incriminate him, so he never filed reports, instead choosing to harass Vizzle whenever he witnessed illegal behavior. Rado stayed close by residing in a compartment attached to the back of the larger alien's armor. Vizzle largely ignored the officer, continuing his pirate activities and enjoying his life. He actively promoted his image through songs he authored, ballads recounting his galactic adventures across the galaxy.

Eventually, Vizzle began working with Maz Kanata, the pirate queen of Takodana, and her crew. Around 382 BBY, he was at Takodana Castle when a fight erupted between Alak, a cyborg, and Raf Thatchburn, an Inspector from the Galactic Antipiracy Command and Alak's former lover. Vizzle and Therm Scissorpunch, another pirate, helped Alak, but Kanata quickly stopped the fight and expelled the inspector. Later, Vizzle was present when Kanata discovered that the rival Dank Graks were planning a turf war to seize Takodana, and he agreed to help her stop them. He joined the crew aboard Kanata's Venomed Scabbard and boarded the Graks' ship, the Grim Devourer, to learn their intentions. While exploring the deserted ship, Vizzle told Sav Malagán, the crew's newest member, about Alak's history with Tatchburn and his own with Officer Rado.

Their conversation was interrupted when the Devourer was attacked by the Scabbard, which the Dank Graks had seized. Kanata instructed Vizzle to take Malagán and operate the ship's weapons, but he was unable to because the Devourer used Tund technology and could only be operated by Force-sensitive individuals. Another blast from the Graks briefly knocked Vizzle and Rado unconscious, preventing them from seeing Malagán, an undercover Jedi Padawan, take control of the ship's cannons. The battle reached a stalemate when Inspector Thatchburn arrived, threatening to arrest everyone. Kanata and her crew escaped, planning to recapture the Scabbard from the Graks and rescue its pilot, Abadoo.
