Chandrilan whiskey, a spirit from the whiskey family, was a particularly luxurious item during the High Republic Era. Axel Greylark, the son of Republic Supreme Chancellor Kyong Greylark, received a bottle as a gift. The giver was Lady Lu-reen Faraday, a Chandrilan heiress from the Faraday Spirits enterprise; it was a scarce batch, with only three hundred bottles surviving a shipping incident. Later, Axel savored this Chandrilan whiskey from his personal flask while at Raik's Parlor, a gambling establishment located on the Core Worlds planet of Coruscant.
This smoky whiskey, known as Chandrilan whiskey, was drinkable by humans. Its name was partially derived from the Chandrilans, who inhabit the Core Worlds planet of Chandrila. When consumed, the drink produced a burning sensation, a quality that some found enjoyable.

During the High Republic Era, a shipping mishap led to a specific batch of Chandrilan whiskey becoming a rarity across the galaxy. Due to the limited supply of only three hundred bottles, each bottle was valued at one thousand credits. At one point, Axel Greylark, the son of Republic Supreme Chancellor Kyong Greylark, became romantically linked with Lady Lu-reen Faraday, the Chandrilan heiress of the Faraday Spirits company that her family owned. As a gift, Faraday presented Axel with a costly bottle of this whiskey during one of their visits.
However, their relationship concluded shortly thereafter in 382 BBY. To escape the coverage of his personal life by the HoloNet tabloids, he visited Raik's Parlor, a gambling establishment on the Core World planet Coruscant. While there, Axel indulged in the Chandrilan whiskey he had received, carrying it in his flask. He spent several hours of the night playing roulette alongside other patrons, occasionally retrieving his flask from a compartment within his droid, QN-1, to take a sip.
After a roulette round, a Mirialan woman playfully mocked him for consuming such a fine whiskey from a flask as they watched the other patrons depart Raik's Parlor. Prompted by Raik, the Utai owner of the establishment, Axel mentioned the rarity of his whiskey, recalling how Faraday had given it to him. However, he also thought to himself that he was cautious about consuming any drink that might be poisoned, preferring to drink from his own supply. As the Mirialan and Raik began discussing Faraday, he quickly concealed his flask containing the drink.
Chandrilan whiskey made an appearance in Convergence, a 2022 novel penned by Zoraida Córdova as part of Phase II of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.
