The Caarite holonet functioned as a network for communication. In approximately 21 BBY, Thurm Loogg, the Caarite envoy representing the Metatheran Cartel trade alliance to the Cularin system, delivered an address via the Caarite holonet. In this speech, he detailed the prosperity the Cartel achieved by remaining uninvolved in the Clone Wars, a violent struggle between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Celis Bol, a technician working for the Metatheran Cartel, was among those who heard Loogg's address on the Caarite holonet.
The roleplaying adventure Caaried Away, written by Morrie Mullins and published in March 2003, made reference to the Caarite holonet. This adventure was a component of the Metatheran Caution trilogy within the Living Force campaign, a supplement designed for Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Roleplaying Game.
