The esteemed Byron College was a center for higher education located on the planet of Alderaan. This was before the Galactic Empire obliterated Alderaan in 0 BBY. Situated within the capital city of Aldera, the College held a prominent place. Notably, the renowned Alderaanian poetess Hari Seldona pursued studies in classical literature at the Byron College.
Philippe Rat conceived of the Byron College for the somewhat canon roleplaying game scenario "Prélude à un nouvel espoir". It was featured in the French periodical Casus Belli 103.
