The Buzchub were a species of sturdy beings whose bodies were covered in dark blue fur. These sentient beings were thought to have originated on Harrandarr, a far-flung planet situated within the Bosph sector. The Buzchub enjoyed galactic travel throughout the galaxy, and they used mechanical translators to facilitate communication with other species. Not long after the Battle of Endor, the Buzchub known as Und'l found employment with individuals sympathetic to the Galactic Empire, even though he believed his employers were merely spice merchants.
The Buzchub were a sentient species whose bodies were covered by fur of a dark blue hue. They possessed a stocky build and surprising strength. A Buzchub had a round face featuring two round eyes with eyelids, a short, thick nose, and a wide mouth. Their anatomy prevented them from articulating words in Galactic Basic Standard. The Buzchub walked with a waddle, and they could grow to a height of 1.5 meters.
The Buzchub were known as a generally peaceful species. They felt a kinship with Wookiees, viewing them as their "long-haired relatives." Although unable to speak Basic, they could understand it, and Buzchub who engaged in space travel made use of mechanical translators that they wore around their necks to communicate in the language. Certain Buzchub, such as Und'l, spoke with a distinctive cadence, employing brief, paired phrases. Buzchub were not particularly interested in other species or technology, but they found great pleasure in traveling throughout the galaxy.
It was believed that the Buzchub were originally from Harrandarr, a planet located in the remote Bosph sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Following the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, the Buzchub named Und'l traveled the galaxy. He began working for people he thought were spice traders, but who actually sympathized with the Galactic Empire. Und'l contacted a group of smugglers on the planet Roldalna for these employers, arranging for them to transport spice from Nigel VI to Lohopa II in exchange for 25,000 credits. The cargo was actually lexonite, a lethal poison utilized by Imperial terrorist factions.
Dave Marron created the Buzchub for the mini-adventure The Package, which was included in Twin Stars of Kira, a collection of adventures released by West End Games in 1993. John Paul Lona provided the illustration of Und'l the Buzchub. They later received a mention in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, which was published in 2008.
