Braig Farool, sibling to Nak Farool, held the position of planetary governor governing Narg. Nak plotted to overthrow his superior, Moff Nile Owen, aiming to install Braig in his place. As part of this scheme, Nak orchestrated the abduction of the artist Crying Dawn Singer through the actions of the pirate Yearo Seville, presenting it as a false event. Owen anticipated gaining public recognition by saving the singer; however, Nak instructed Seville to hand over the captive to Braig, allowing Braig to receive the praise instead. Upon uncovering the deception, Owen executed Nak and launched a military assault on Narg. Concurrently, individuals from the Alliance to Restore the Republic also undertook a rescue attempt. Overwhelmed by these combined pressures, Farool descended into madness.
