The AJ^6 cyborg construct, alternatively referred to as the Borg Construct Aj^6, represented a cybernetic enhancement developed by BioTech Industries in the time preceding the outbreak of the Galactic Civil War.

The BioTech Industries-manufactured Borg Construct Aj^6 served as an advanced cybernetic interface, granting cyborgs the ability to manipulate computer systems. It stood out as one of the most cutting-edge cyborg augmentations available commercially. Engineered to interface with extensive computer networks, this crescent-shaped apparatus was affixed to the user's cranium, implanted directly onto the skull. Through Cyborg Nanothread Interfaces, the device established a direct link to the cyborg's cognitive functions by deploying nanothreads into the brain, creating a conduit to the implant's integrated biocomputer. Leveraging BioTech's state-of-the-art neurothread technology, the AJ^6 facilitated a seamless connection between the cyborg's neural activity and the information housed within the construct.
The Aj^6 featured a core processor alongside several Data Retrieval Processors, boasting the capacity to store millions of data screen units worth of data. The unit's exterior was equipped with various ports, including Computer Interface Ports, Droid Interface Ports, and multiple Knowledge Cartridge Ports. This implant's integrated data library simplified programming tasks for the cyborg. By inserting Knowledge cartridges into the designated ports, cyborgs could absorb the cartridge's data, gaining expertise in specific fields and procedures. The Aj^6 also incorporated Audio Enhancers and a communications transceiver.

This device enhanced the cyborg's intellectual capabilities, improving both their logic and reasoning skills. The Aj^6 enabled the cyborg to interface with any connected computer system, controlling it via mental commands. Data analysis could be performed concurrently, increasing computer operation speeds by a factor of twenty compared to a standard organic operator. The unit's performance was highly dependent on the capabilities of the linked computer systems.
The unit was priced at eighty thousand credits, while the implantation procedure incurred an additional cost of seventy thousand credits. Errors during the surgery could lead to brain trauma or even death. Despite its advantages, the Aj^6 faced criticism for potentially diminishing the wearer's personality and suppressing emotions, effectively transforming them into automatons.
Lobot, serving as an aide to Baron Administrator Lando Calrissian, was connected to the Computer Core of Cloud City. This connection allowed Lobot to manage all of the city's functions, as well as command the Wing Guard in addressing security concerns.

The Crisis on Cloud City source erroneously states that Bioniip Laboratories was the manufacturer of the Aj^6. The Hero's Guide lists the device as the AJ^6, rather than Aj^6, and the Cloud City Limited card titled "Cyborg Construct" incorrectly identifies it as Aj^9.
