Beckman was a Human Commander within the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War; he was of male gender.
During 3 ABY, Beckman oversaw operations at the Rebel Hospital, including its accompanying vessels. While the Azzameen family were in the process of delivering a bacta shipment, the Imperial-class Star Destroyer, known as the Corrupter, launched an assault on the medical facility. Following the Battle of Hoth, Beckman spearheaded the evacuation of the base. He was killed when Imperial forces took control of the hospital. Prior to his death, he urged the Azzameens to protect the transports carrying injured Rebel soldiers who sustained wounds during the conflict. All this occurred in the specified year.
