Attuma Duum's headquarters

Attuma Duum established his main operational center within a hollowed-out asteroid positioned in proximity to Cavamina Minor. This base was composed of five separate domed buildings in addition to a sizable structure situated along the asteroid's inner wall, which incorporated a wide range of facilities. A battle transpired in the vicinity of this base. Two Force-sensitive individuals ultimately defeated Attuma Duum, and the base suffered complete destruction during the course of their confrontation.

Description

Attuma Duum's base of operations was located inside a hollowed-out asteroid that orbited near the Mid Rim moon known as Cavamina Minor. A substantial structure, reaching 30 stories in height, was affixed to the asteroid's wall. A network of pipes extended from this main structure to five independent facilities housed beneath protective domes. Attuma Duum's command center, also domed, featured a throne-like seat beneath the simulated stars. An emergency exit led to Class-6 escape pods. That dome included a chamber containing turbines. Captives were confined, their hands restrained by force fields.

The entire installation was shielded from external asteroid impacts by deflector shields, with redundant power supplies ensuring operational continuity. The base also provided recreational casinos and hangars.

History

Around 21 BBY, Attuma Duum utilized this base to manage his extensive mercenary network and to capitalize on the widespread Clone Wars occurring throughout the galaxy. Duum strategically disseminated information to both warring factions. One particular exchange of intelligence led to a battle near the asteroid field. Duum deployed his bombers to deploy 600,000 space mines. Duum provided the Galactic Republic's Navy with deliberately misleading information concerning a Confederacy of Independent Systems convoy. Simultaneously, he informed the Confederate Navy about an approaching Republic fleet expected to arrive in the system. Consequently, both fleets emerged from hyperspace directly within the minefield and began engaging each other amidst the chaotic circumstances before ultimately withdrawing from the system.

During the conflict, Duum's two Force-sensitive prisoners, Aayla Secura and Shon-Ju, managed to break free from their confinement and confronted the mercenary leader in his central command area. His head of security, Sabat, was propelled into a turbine using the Force, resulting in a catastrophic explosion that killed the man. Duum then ordered his crew to evacuate to the casinos. Duum revealed his cyborg enhancements and engaged Shon-Ju in direct combat, but was ultimately outmatched. Secura intervened to prevent Shon-Ju from executing Duum, allowing the cyborg to escape. Shon-Ju then turned his attention to Secura, but she defeated him. The defeated Shon-Ju fled into the growing inferno. The resulting damage eventually caused the total destruction of Duum's base, but not before the key individuals involved managed to escape. Duum's mercenary organization was subsequently significantly weakened.
