Althon

A Human male from the planet Dodz, named Althon, held a position of authority. Serving as the Head Councilman for the Citizen's Council of Dodz, he made an attempt to oppose the heavy taxation imposed by the governor, Kugg, in 15 BBY. However, Kugg disrupted the council's meeting, arriving with his killer droid, the Destroyer, forcing Althon to submit. Despite Jost Ellon, a young boy, offering an alternative by using a Ranger X-One defense robot to fight back, Althon's fear led him to forbid it. After Ellon's successful defeat of the Destroyer, Althon expressed his regret and managed to apprehend Kugg.

Biography

Kugg confronts Althon.

On the planet Dodz, Althon, a Human male, was the Head Councilman for the Citizen's Council of Dodz. By the year 15 BBY, Governor Kugg had seized control of Dodz, and he threatened merchants who didn't pay his taxes with his killer droid, known as the Destroyer. During a year's meeting, Althon, in his role as Head Councilman, announced the council's decision: they would resist Kugg and refuse any payments. Nevertheless, Kugg overheard this and interrupted, seizing Althon and correcting his statement: they would comply with all his demands.

To reinforce his point, the Destroyer smashed through the wall, causing the council members present to fall over. Althon pleaded with him to stop, ultimately giving in and promising Kugg everything he wanted. As a result, the governor tripled the tax amount as punishment for their disobedience, instructing Althon to be at his mansion by noon the following day, leaving Althon shocked. Soon after, the young boy Jost Ellon arrived at the Council Dwelling with his droidsC-3PO, R2-D2, and a Ranger X-One defense robot—only to find it destroyed. Althon explained to Ellon how powerful Kugg was and how futile any resistance would be; he felt hopeless even when the boy suggested fighting back, because they lacked effective weapons. Ellon then revealed his defense droid, which Althon immediately recognized as an old Ranger X-One. However, instead of using it, Althon begged Ellon to get rid of it, fearing that Kugg would find out and kill everyone.

Kugg was overthrown.

Ellon chose to follow the advice of an old man instead of Althon. The next day, as Althon and the council were delivering the payments to Kugg, Ellon declared the end of Kugg's rule and unleashed his Ranger X-One on the Destroyer. Althon was shocked, thinking the boy was foolish for doing this. The two droids engaged in combat, and with assistance from R2-D2, the Destroyer was destroyed. Althon and the other council members took advantage of the situation and captured Kugg, with Althon promising to bring the governor to an intergalactic trial. Following this, Althon apologized to Ellon for doubting him.

Personality and traits

Althon attempted to resist Kugg's oppressive rule, but he yielded as soon as Kugg presented the Destroyer. His fear of the threat was so strong that even when Jost Ellon brought a Ranger X-One, he still believed that inaction was the best course, fearing the X-One was as dangerous as the Destroyer. However, once Ellon's plan succeeded, he realized his mistake and apologized to the boy. Althon had gray, balding hair, including a mustache, and a fair complexion.

Equipment

Althon wore an orange jumpsuit with black stripes, along with boots.
