The 2nd Regiment was a unit within the Imperial Army, stationed in the city of Tiems throughout the Galactic Civil War. This regiment saw action in the Battle of Tiems, where it engaged Alliance soldiers near the Tiems Road. As the Alliance troops retreated, the 2nd Regiment pursued, only to be ambushed by additional Alliance units, resulting in the near annihilation of the Imperial force.
