Zana, a Human woman of Belderone during the era of the Galactic Civil War, was a female. When the Clone Wars raged, Zana fell in love with Flint Torul, a Jedi Knight stationed on Belderone; their union resulted in a son, named Flint. However, Torul met his death in combat against General Grievous. Zana, now a single mother, supported her son by working the night shift as a waitress while he matured. Tragically, in 3 ABY, Zana perished when an Imperial All Terrain Armored Transport devastated her town during a Rebel assault on Belderone. Flint, wrongly blaming the Alliance for his mother's demise, enlisted with the Empire and subsequently became a Sith apprentice under the tutelage of Darth Vader.
Mary Jo Duffy penned Zana's appearance in Star Wars Annual (1977) 3, with illustrations by Klaus Janson; the comic was published in 1983.
