Zakar was a combatant of the Yuuzhan Vong warrior caste, participating in the Yuuzhan Vong War. In the year 25 ABY, he engaged in battle on the desolate planet of Dibrook. His adversaries were New Republic troopers who were searching for refugees taken prisoner during the Battle of Dibrook. Zakar successfully apprehended the captain of the troopers, but Commander Tsalok intervened before Zakar could execute him. Tsalok, ensuring his actions were witnessed by the captain's comrades, proceeded to rip off the captain's enviro-suit, resulting in his death as a cautionary demonstration.
Subsequently, Zakar was dispatched to Coruscant to support Yarmond in the mission to capture Finn Galfridian. During this operation, he engaged in a physical altercation with Kopri, the captain of the Palace Guard, aiming to compel Finn's surrender. However, Master Dray intervened and decapitated Zakar.
