Yaralou, a water-logged planet devoid of natural satellites, circled Baralou, a yellow sun, as the fourth world in its orbit. This world was situated in the Baralou system, itself a part of the Varada sector found within the Outer Rim Territories'.
The initial reference to Yaralou appeared in Planets of the Galaxy, Volume One, a 1991 publication that served as a resource for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. Later, in 2009, The Essential Atlas specified the location of the Baralou system, and consequently Yaralou, as grid coordinate H-20.
