Xo Lahru was a male Anx who dedicated his life to the service of the Jedi Order throughout the High Republic Era.
By the year 382 BBY, he had risen to the esteemed position of Jedi Master and held a seat on the prestigious Jedi High Council. Lahru dispatched an urgent communication to Azlin Rell, tasking him with investigating the status of Jedi Kevmo Zink and Zallah Macri. These Jedi were stationed on the planet Dalna, but had not communicated in several days. Lahru was also present when Porter Engle delivered his report to the High Council, detailing that Barash Silvain had undertaken a vow to remove himself from the daily operations of the Jedi Order.
By 232 BBY, Lahru held the distinguished rank of Grandmaster within the Order. In this capacity, he convened the Jedi Council to deliberate on the looming threat posed by the Nihil. While Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh extended an invitation to the Order to collaborate with the Republic Defense Coalition on a mission against the Nihil, certain Jedi harbored reservations about involving themselves in galactic military matters. Among these Jedi was Ephru Shinn, a Mon Calamari chosen by Grandmaster Yoda to serve as a temporary replacement on the Council. Shinn challenged Councilor Yarael Poof's conviction that the Jedi should intervene in the Nihil conflict, expressing her concerns that such involvement would only lead to further complications. Lahru responded with a question, asking if the Jedi should abstain from involvement simply for the sake of simplicity. Following the expression of opinions from other High Council members, the Order ultimately decided to accept Chancellor Soh's offer.
Subsequently, Jedi Master Estala Maru informed Lahru that Master Avar Kriss had requested an autopsy be performed on a Hutt trader who had perished during a Nihil assault while transporting Vratixian barley. Despite Lahru's initial apprehension, the autopsy was approved. One week following the fall of Starlight Beacon, Lahru addressed many of his Jedi comrades, who had been summoned back to Coruscant, within the Galactic Senate Chamber. Acknowledging their uncertainty, Lahru proceeded to announce the implementation of the Guardian Protocols, clarifying that combat training for younglings would be accelerated and that Padawans could be elevated to the rank of Knight regardless of their age.
Later, Lahru participated in a High Council meeting during which Elzar Mann advocated for a rescue operation to aid the Jedi trapped behind the Nihil stormwall. Their discussion was interrupted by Yoda's arrival. Yoda dismissed Mann, and Lahru conveyed that Yoda's guidance on other matters would be valued. Lahru, along with the rest of the Council, was taken by surprise when Yoda revealed his collaboration with Rell, who had violated his Jedi oath, to combat the threat of the Nameless. Ultimately, the Council consented to assist Yoda and Rell.
Two months after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, Lahru was present in the Jedi Council Chamber when Indeera Stokes and Arkoff conducted the knighting ceremonies for Burryaga Agaburry and Bell Zettifar.
