Wim Smoot

WimSmootieSmoot-SWBH Around the time of the Battle of Naboo, a male Peripleen named Wim "Smootie" Smoot resided as an inmate at Desolation Alley. Despite not knowing his age or the reason for his original imprisonment (which resulted in a life sentence), he had been incarcerated for over 150 years. Warden Booda permitted him complete freedom within the prison walls. His duties encompassed tasks like delivery and laundry transport. He found pleasure in conversing with fellow inmates and guards whenever his workload allowed. As many prisoners believed he had lost his hearing long ago, they frequently divulged rumors and secrets in his presence that they otherwise would have kept hidden.

Not long after the Battle of Naboo, he played a role in assisting Jango Fett with both his entry and exit from Oovo IV. Jango Fett shared an elevator ride with Smootie on his route to the mining sector. Smootie gave Jango the location of Bendix Fust (the bounty Jango was after), in addition to sharing insights he possessed concerning Komari Vosa and the Bando Gora.

Subsequently, Smootie once more aided Fett's escape from the correctional facility by explaining to Fett the method for deactivating the shield. He turned down Fett's proposition to accompany him, as he was enjoying himself too much where he was. His parting words to Fett consisted of, "See you on the other side, eh stranger."
