The Volumes of Truth served as a sacred religious document for the Jydan faith and its offshoot, the Ni'Shaw-Dak religion. It is believed that other Ka'hren religions also utilized this text.
This collection, the Volumes of Truth, contained the legal and moral principles established by the various Jydan deities. These were documented by the three prophets associated with each specific god. This contrasts with the Jydan Writings, another Jydan holy text, which, while also penned by the three prophets of each god, focused on conveying the teachings of the gods.
