Vinyor Tesh's dad was a male scientist stationed on the world of Manaan. When the Devastation of Manaan occurred, he and his significant other were slain by the attacking Imperial military. A Jedi named Laotah, who happened to be visiting, rescued his small boy and brought him to Coruscant where he would be educated at the Jedi Temple.
The Codex entry for Master Vinyor Tesh in BioWare's massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Wars: The Old Republic, which released in 2011, mentioned Vinyor Tesh's father in the 2019 Onslaught expansion.
