Vict Darron

Vict Darron was a male Human commander within the Imperial Navy. He formerly served as the executive officer for Admiral Delak Krennel. When Krennel took control of the Ciutric Hegemony, Darron relocated his family to that location to avoid their cohabitation with nonhumans. Darron acknowledged the wrongdoings of the Galactic Empire but favored its established order over the perceived 'anarchy' of the New Republic.

Biography

Following Krennel's execution of Captain Rensen, Darron was given command of the Direption. His initial order was to fulfill the task Rensen had refused: the destruction of a village on Liinade III that had sheltered an alleged assassin targeting the admiral. Darron, torn between avoiding the killing of innocents and self-preservation, complied, but in a way that minimized casualties. He informed the villagers of their impending fate and meticulously detailed his plans to raze their community. By the time he had completed an extensive maintenance cycle on his ship's weaponry, the villagers had evacuated. Krennel, displeased with Darron's actions, refrained from crushing Darron's throat as he had done with Rensen, instead warning him against future failures. Darron leveraged his position to reassign all 'insubordinate' officers from Krennel's other commands (primarily those who had been slow to praise the admiral upon his arrival on deck), thereby preventing their execution.

The Battle of Liinade III

The Direption was stationed above Liinade III, tasked with defending the world from potential New Republic incursions. Despite Darron recognizing the vulnerability of Liinade III, Krennel had declined to commit troops to the planet's defense. Consequently, only a minimal force remained on the ground, and only the Direption and a lone Dreadnaught were available to defend the planet from space. When the New Republic launched their attack, Darron focused his efforts solely on the Moonshadow, an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, disregarding the Swift Liberty, a Victory II-class Star Destroyer that was attacking the underside of his ship. As the situation deteriorated, Darron requested reinforcements, but the newly arrived Freedom swiftly destroyed the lone Dreadnaught that had entered the battle.

Darron attempted to maneuver the Direption deeper into the system, but the combined firepower of the Moonshadow and Swift Liberty, along with the looming presence of the undamaged Freedom, compelled him to reconsider. Darron surrendered his command to the New Republic task force.
