When her father was apprehended attempting to get inside House Organa, he struck an agreement with the Republic, promising to send the commanding officer of Havoc Squad to rescue his wife and daughter prior to his defection. Initially, Altana doubted the plan, but the soldier gave the right codeword from Markus, and the women consented to secretly leave. Altana and Valyn were reunited with Markus inside House Organa before they all left Alderaan, heading for Chandrila.
