A B1-series battle droid fought for the Separatist Droid Army of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Subsequent to the deactivation of that army in 19 BBY, the droid continued to function, eventually turning rogue and becoming a bounty hunter. At some point in its operational history, the droid was present during a battle that took place in a desert environment.
This rogue droid possessed tan armor plating along with black visual sensors. Its upper body, specifically its head and arms, differed from standard B1-series battle droids; its head incorporated design elements reminiscent of the BX-series droid commando model. By the time it was employed as a bounty hunter, the droid wore a red cape and had a blade attached to its right forearm. This blade featured the words "ARMBLADE" written in Galactic Basic Standard using the Aurebesh writing system.
The rogue B1-series battle droid was initially conceived for the Desperate Circumstances expansion of Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: The Card Game, where it was illustrated by Ryan Valle. This set saw its release on November 9, 2017, and concurrently, the droid was also highlighted in a preview article for Desperate Circumstances on the official Fantasy Flight Games website.
