A Force Hound was a warrior who fought for the Infinite Empire during the Rakata species' invasion of the Tython system. This warrior wore dark robes and a helmet featuring a triangular red eyepiece, and the Force Hound wielded a purple-bladed Forcesaber in battle. During the Battle of Shikaakwa in 25,792 BBY, the Force Hound, riding a winged creature, engaged the Je'daii Ranger Shae Koda. However, Koda, drawing upon the dark side of the Force, struck down the Hound's mount, causing the warrior to fall. After surviving the crash, the Force-sensitive warrior attempted to fight the former Hound Xesh, but Xesh swiftly killed the warrior by stabbing them through the heart with a Forcesaber.
The comic book Dawn of the Jedi: Force War 1, released on November 20, 2013, featured the Force Hound. John Ostrander wrote the script for the issue, and Jan Duursema provided the art and co-created the story with Ostrander. The species and gender of the Hound remained unknown, as did the Aurebesh letter that served as the Hound's namesake and was tattooed on them.
