In the city of Canto Bight, situated on the planet Cantonica, resided Ubbla Mollbro, a vivacious Xi'Dec opera singer female. Her reason for being there was to find someone to hatch with. During the year 34 ABY, while she was socializing with the upper crust of Canto Bight at the Canto Casino, a stampede of fathiers disrupted her activities; these creatures were set loose by a pair of Resistance members as they tried to get away from the city's police. When Mollbro saw the Resistance members riding a fathier straight toward her, she simply lifted her arms and let out a loud, harmonious scream.
Ubbla Mollbro, a female Xi'Dec opera singer, had amassed a significant fortune by the year 34 ABY. However, her wealth came with a price; the extremely wealthy condescendingly referred to the opera singer as "new money," in contrast to their long-established fortunes. Despite this, Mollbro remained cheerful.
At some point, the egg sacs on her body grew large, and during the New Republic Era, she traveled to the Canto Bight casino on the planet Cantonica to seek a partner for hatching. While on Cantonica, Mollbro was mentioned as a notable Xi'Dec in "Species From A to Z," a survival guide distributed by Carson Teva.
In 34 ABY, as she mingled with the casino's disapproving elite, Mollbro's activities were abruptly halted when the casino floor was overrun with the casino's race fathiers. These horse-like animals had been stampeded by Finn and Rose Tico, two members of the Resistance, who were escaping from police custody. As Finn and Tico's fathier charged toward her, Mollbro raised her four arms and emitted a smooth, harmonious scream. This sight managed to divert Finn's attention from the chaos he had created in the casino. Ultimately, Mollbro avoided being trampled by the fathier.
Ubbla Mollbro, a pale, off-white skinned member of the Xi'Dec species, was a high-spirited opera singer whose talent for making dramatic entrances overshadowed the disdainful eyes of the "old-money" elite who looked down on her. Adorned with engorged, yet well-cared-for egg sacs, Mollbro was eager to find a hatching partner among the wealthy residents of Canto Bight.
The mint-eyed singer's unique sense of style was evident in her casino attire, which included a self-spun web-chiffon drape, and her gray hair was styled into a tiered pyramid on top of her head.
Ubbla Mollbro made her first appearance, though unnamed at the time, in the 2017 film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, and her name was revealed in the companion reference book, Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Visual Dictionary, written by Pablo Hidalgo. Tim Napper, a creature concept artist, designed Mollbro.
