Twiggs, also called Twiggsie, was a male Kobarian swamp dog from the era of the Galactic Republic. As a wedding gift to his daughter Pelf Pachoola, a Wroonian heiress, and her fiancé, Fume Pachoola gifted Twiggs and another swamp dog named Higgs. Pelf grew very fond of both dogs, using them as show dogs. Later, Pelf and Fume took a luxury cruise on the Salin Mariner liner, bringing the two swamp dogs along. During the cruise, the Weequay pirate Hondo Ohnaka kidnapped the Pachoolas and their dogs after tricking them into entering an escape pod. This kidnapping turned out to be a financial failure for Ohnaka; the dogs ate 10 kilos of food daily, and he couldn't get enough ransom money to cover the cost of feeding them. Eventually, Twiggs, Higgs, and their owners were freed when Ohnaka and his gang made a passing delivery freighter take them.
