Tresten Agai'i

Tresten Agai'i was a Jedi Knight of the Human species, and a female, who lived during the era known as the Clone Wars. She was a student at the Almas Academy, and her education there differed from the instruction provided at the academy located on Coruscant.

Biography

Agai'i joined the ranks of the Jedi Order at an age that remains unknown. She received her training through the experimental program at the Almas Academy, which accepted students of more advanced ages. After successfully completing her Trials of Knighthood, administered by the Almas Council and recognized by the Jedi High Council on Coruscant, Agai'i was promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight.

Agai'i, highly regarded by her fellow Jedi, was a skilled lightsaber combatant and known for her bravery in battle. When the Clone Wars engulfed the galaxy, the High Council on Coruscant commanded the Masters of the academy to dispatch all non-essential personnel to the Jedi Temple for assignment within the Grand Army of the Republic. Agai'i, deeply opposed to the High Council's decision to engage the Confederacy of Independent Systems in total war, declined the rank of General and chose to remain in the Cularin system, undertaking missions solely under the direction of the Almas Council.

The Council entrusted the Knight with a significant task, directing her to the abandoned fortress of Darth Rivan accompanied by a fourteen-member Jedi research team. Although the Jedi had seized the fortress, they had not fully explored it due to the pervasive presence of the dark side within its very structure. The Jedi were not alone in their desire to explore the fortress; the Believers, a dark side cult, also sought the ancient knowledge contained within for their nefarious purposes. Accompanied by five fellow Knights, Agai'i committed to protecting the fortress from an impending assault. Assuming a defensive posture at the fortress's southern entrance, Agai'i and the other guards stood watch while the research team explored the building.

While the team was inside, a sandstorm provided concealment for Phylus Mon, his nine adepts, and their massive Force-sensitive Wampa. The ambush was successful; Agai'i and the other Jedi guarding the fortress were overwhelmed and killed, leaving both the fortress and the research team vulnerable. Conducting a ritual in the fortress's heart, the adepts bypassed the research team, who were preoccupied with attempting to contact the academy through the storm. By the time Master Lanius Qel-Bertuk organized search parties to investigate the deaths, the raiders had long since departed.
