Trax Bonkik, a Rodian male technician, toiled as a slave alongside his elder brother, Pax Bonkik, under the Podracer Mars Guo's ownership. In the time leading up to the Boonta Eve Classic of 32 BBY, Trax and Guo engaged in a dispute, resulting in a severe beating for Trax at the hands of their master, who then decided to sell him after the Podrace. During the race itself, Sebulba damaged Guo's Podracer, and afterward, he orchestrated the auctioning of Guo's belongings.
Teemto Pagalies, another Podracer who had become friends with Pax, could only manage to secure Pax's freedom. Trax was subsequently sold to Sebulba. Driven to rescue his brother, Pax dedicated himself to working for Pagalies, who eventually won the Aleen Classic. The prize money was only enough to free Ann Gella, a slave of Sebulba's with whom he was romantically involved. However, Pax ultimately chose to use the money to liberate Trax from Sebulba, reuniting the Rodian siblings.
The Rodian male named Trax Bonkik shared a strong connection with his older brother, Pax, both originally from Rodia, the homeworld of their species. Their parents, described as irresponsible spice addicts, made the decision to sell the Bonkik brothers into slavery.
After becoming slaves, Trax's older brother took care of him, as the Rodians passed between various owners, gradually acquiring skills to increase their value. Primarily employed as mechanics, the Bonkik brothers eventually found themselves working for a relatively unknown Podracer, Mars Guo. Guo would push the siblings to the brink of exhaustion while they worked on his Podracer, a Plug-2 Behemoth.

In the year 32 BBY, Guo planned to participate in the Boonta Eve Classic held on the planet Tatooine. A short time before the Podrace, Trax and Guo engaged in a fierce argument. As a result, Trax's master subjected him to a beating and announced his intention to sell him after the race concluded.
Pax, eager to avoid separation from his younger brother, reached out to Teemto Pagalies, a Podracer he had previously befriended and who was also competing in the race. Pagalies agreed to assist Pax, as he did not want the brothers to be separated. During the competition, Guo's Podracer was destroyed by fellow Podracer Sebulba. Although this could have potentially freed Trax and Pax from their unpleasant owner, Sebulba instead arranged for Guo's possessions to be auctioned off while Guo recovered from his crash. As Pagalies had also lost his Podracer during the race, he could only afford to purchase Pax at the auction, leaving Trax to become Sebulba's property.
Determined to secure his brother's freedom, Pax decided to remain with Pagalies and serve as his mechanic even after gaining his own freedom. Pax and Pagalies traveled the racing circuit, searching for either Sebulba or Trax. After Pagalies won the Aleen Classic, he had just enough money to free Ann Gella, a slave of Sebulba's whom he was romantically interested in. However, he chose to purchase Trax instead, freeing him and reuniting the brothers. The siblings would never be separated again.
In 2005, the character of Trax Bonkik was created by javajawas, who wrote the Databank entry for his brother as part of the StarWars.com Hyperspace feature called "What's The Story?". While Pax Bonkik appears alongside another Rodian mechanic in the 1999 prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, no official Star Wars media has confirmed the other mechanic to be Trax.
