New Republic reconnaissance forces initiated a venture to the Serianan system in order to further investigate discoveries previously unearthed by Korren Starchaser during an earlier venture. It was there that they came across a group of alien xenoarchaeologists who had entered the system, along with various teams of prospectors.
To safeguard their findings from the prospectors, the New Republic scouts joined forces with the aliens.
