The ancient pyramid-shaped Temple of Malmourral, also known as the Zardossa Stix Pyramid, functioned as a headquarters for the Frangawl Cult. This religious group, originating from Bardotta, venerated Malmourral, the demon of war, and the temple was situated on the moon of Zardossa Stix. Found within the deserts of the moon, the pyramid could be reached via rail speeder from Zardossa Stix Port, a significant city on the moon. Stone guardians, taking the form of stone pillars, protected the temple's entrance, activating upon physical contact.
During 19 BBY, Julia, the Queen of Bardotta, was taken to the temple for a sacrificial ceremony. The goal of this ritual was to transfer her Living Force into the Bardottan Sphere, using a device capable of harnessing the power of a star. The Great Mother, who had been leading the cult, oversaw the ceremony, but Jedi Master Mace Windu and Junior Representative Jar Jar Binks arrived, thwarting her plans.
The subsequent fight between the Frangawl Cult and the two representatives of the Galactic Republic resulted in extensive damage to the temple when the living sphere shattered, releasing a powerful shockwave. Mother Talzin, actually the Great Mother, vanished after her failure, and Queen Julia was returned to Bardotta.
