Task Force Vermin was a specialized division within the Thaereian military, established during the era of the Clone Wars.
Under the leadership of Colonel Rast'Tul, this task force was assigned the mission of abducting children from the planet Cularin. The objectives were multifaceted; older adolescent captives were enticed with the prospect of training and equipment to instigate chaos on Cularin, with the intention of demonstrating the inability of the Office of Peace and Security to maintain order, thereby justifying an increased Thaereian security presence. For those children who declined participation, their destination was Thaere Privo, where they underwent indoctrination to transform them into dormant agents of the military. In addition, the offspring of OPS staff and political figures were also kidnapped, providing the military with leverage to ensure their support.
The abducted children were held within a fortified installation located in Gadrin. On one particular instance, while Lieutenant Rakzen Krayle was in the process of transferring a group of these children to Thaere Privo, he faced an assault from the Heroes of Cularin. This intervention led to the liberation of the children, and the subsequent closure of the Gadrin facility.
