Tag Greenley was a male human who held the rank of lieutenant within the structure of the Galactic Empire. Han Solo once sought to establish a friendly relationship with him and Bink Otauna, but he ultimately decided that their combined incompetence made them unsuitable companions. Later, Greenley and Otauna were in attendance during an Imperial tribunal that took place on Carida, which was convened to assess Solo's conduct during an attack by raiders on Onyx Squadron.

Tag Greenley's initial appearance was as a character in the Star Wars Infinities comic book series titled Star Wars: Tag & Bink, where he was brought to life by Kevin Rubio. In a deleted scene from the 2018 movie Solo: A Star Wars Story, Jon Kasdan played Tag (with Toby Hefferman acting as Bink). Despite Kasdan's opposition, the scene they were in was removed from the final cut of the film. They were shown doing basic security tasks when Han Solo was brought before the disciplinary board at the Carida Academy. Director Ron Howard was compelled to remove the scene, even though it had been in the script since the first draft, because it was thought to be unnecessary.
The canon reference book from 2018, Solo: A Star Wars Story The Official Guide by Pablo Hidalgo, verified Tag's full name.
The deleted scene from the film was brought back to life in Solo: A Star Wars Story: Expanded Edition by Mur Lafferty, which also provided more details about Solo's prior encounters with the pair.
