The exterior of the destroyer featured a coating of dark, matte black durasteel armor. The armaments of each individual vessel included both quad laser cannons and proton torpedo delivery systems.
This class of vessel made up the Storm Fleet, which employed its collective firepower to conquer neutral planets, seizing their supplies and infrastructure. To reach their objectives with minimal risk, they adopted the appearance of enormous cargo transports. Not long after the First Battle of Geonosis, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, supported by their clone pilots, successfully eliminated the entire fleet.
