Stimulant devices known as Stimsticks could be found during the initial stages of the Galactic Civil War.
The first appearance of Stimsticks was in the 1998 Tie Fighter CD game. Subsequently, they were introduced into the new Star Wars canon in the 2015 novel Heir to the Jedi, penned by Kevin Hearne and released by Del Rey. Prior to that, they received their initial mention within the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 2008 novel Coruscant Nights II: Street of Shadows, which was the second book in the Coruscant Nights trilogy, authored by Michael Reaves and also published by Del Rey.
