Star Wars Epic Adventures represents a collection of books aimed at young readers. These books were a collaborative effort between Disney–Lucasfilm Press and Dorling Kindersley, with publication handled by Sandvik Publishing. The intended distribution method involved monthly packages delivered to subscribers of Sandvik's EarlyMoments service. Each monthly installment of Star Wars Epic Adventures was structured around a particular film from the Star Wars saga. A key component was a 96-page, hardbound, illustrated storybook from Disney–Lucasfilm Press, which retold the movie's story from the viewpoint of C-3PO. In addition, each package contained twelve Galactic Profiles flashcards, three exclusive premium stickers, and a previously published sticker book from Dorling Kindersley. The subscription promised "bonus gifts" each month, such as wearable items or a timeline poster. At the start of the subscription, monthly releases were planned for all films in the prequel trilogy and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.
The first monthly package, which centered on Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, was launched in May 2019. It included an illustrated storybook that adapted the events of the film. This storybook was penned by S.T. Bende, with artwork by Brian Rood. The package also featured twelve The Phantom Menace-themed flashcards, also written by Bende, and Ultimate Sticker Book: Star Wars: Jedi vs. Sith from Dorling Kindersley.
The second monthly delivery, which focused on Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, was sent to subscribers in June 2019. The highlight of this package was an illustrated storybook authored by Ivan Cohen and illustrated by Brian Rood. Additional flashcards by S.T. Bende were included, along with a reprint of Ultimate Sticker Book: Star Wars: Droids in Battle from Dorling Kindersley.
Following the second monthly shipment, the subscription service was terminated, and no further titles were released. Despite the cancellation, the content for a planned third monthly release, featuring material from Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, was finalized and printed. This release would have included an illustrated storybook by Brooke Vitale with artwork by Brian Rood, further Galactic Profiles flashcards by S.T. Bende, and a reprint of Ultimate Sticker Book: Star Wars: Dark Beginnings from Dorling Kindersley.
The planned fourth monthly release would have showcased content from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, including an illustrated storybook by Ivan Cohen with art by Brian Rood, and more flashcards by S.T. Bende. The fifth monthly release was intended to feature content from Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back and would have included an illustrated storybook and corresponding flashcards by S.T. Bende.
