Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back (junior novelization)


Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, alternatively known as Star Wars Trilogy: The Empire Strikes Back, represents a Legends young adult novel authored by Ryder Windham. The narrative is rooted in a story conceived by George Lucas and a screenplay penned by Leigh Brackett in collaboration with Lawrence Kasdan. This novel provides an adaptation of the 1980 motion picture, Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, and its initial release occurred in October of 2004 under the Scholastic publishing house.

Subsequently, this novel found its place within collections such as Star Wars Trilogy: Collector's Edition (published in 2005), Star Wars Boxed Set: Episodes I–VI (released in 2007), and Star Wars: Classic Trilogy (dating back to 2014). A re-edited version of the novel, considered canon, titled Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, was made available in 2017.
