Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, a junior novel from the Legends continuity, was penned by Patricia C. Wrede. The source material for Wrede's novel was the screenplay created by George Lucas in collaboration with Jonathan Hales. This novel is an adaptation of the movie Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, and it saw its initial publication as a paperback edition by Scholastic on April 23, 2002, before the film was released to theaters. An unabridged audiobook version of the book, read by Jonathan Davis, was also released on the same date, April 23, 2002.
