The security of the planet of Spira was maintained by the Spira Security Police, the planet's local law enforcement organization. Their uniform consisted of light-colored tunics, knee-length khaki shorts, brown leather footwear, and beige socks. Armed with blasters carried in holsters at their hips, they handled the routine, day-to-day policing duties on the planet, while the Imperial forces kept watch over Spira's skies. The Security Police reported directly to the Tourist Guild, the governing body of the planet operating under a lease agreement with the Empire; however, collaboration between the police force and the local Imperial contingent was frequent and amicable.
