The quality of Spang's work was renowned, resulting in a consistently extensive backlog of vessels awaiting servicing. Furthermore, Spang's possessed a mobile drydock, enabling them to service larger capital ships that were in parking orbit. Fia, Spang's granddaughter, was also an integral part of the workshop's operations.
The FarStar crew contracted Fia, and utilized the repair shop's capabilities, to mend the hyperdrive damage they sustained during the Shintel incident.
