Positioned in the heart of the Gelgelar Free Port, adjacent to The Shrine of Kooroo and opposite Red Threxa's Boarding House, The Slippery Eel held the distinction of being the sole establishment in the area where patrons could purchase both food and beverages. As a result, it consistently hosted a diverse mix of residents and travelers. Common patrons included vohis mold farmers, shvash gas collectors, and the Sullustan mechanics from Gelgelar Outfitters.
Given Gelgelar's isolation from the galaxy, the resources accessible to its residents were limited, necessitating ingenuity on the part of the Thulls. While the food and beverage selection at The Eel may not have been extensive, they were both flavorful and satisfying. The prices were reasonable, especially for locals, but significantly higher for pilgrims visiting The Shrine of Kooroo or particularly unpleasant or bothersome spacers.
