The sleft-chuff, enormous herbivorous creatures that flew through the air, originated from Taloraan. These beings lived in the planet's higher atmosphere, utilizing gas to inflate their internal cavities and maintain their buoyancy. They consumed clouds made up of single-celled plant life, gathering them using tentacles adorned with delicate, plume-like filaments.
Typically, female sleft-chuffni congregated in groups of approximately twelve individuals, whereas males preferred a solitary existence. Although generally docile and even-tempered, these creatures were susceptible to anxiety during periods of stormy weather.
The Denfrandi people domesticated the sleft-chuff, employing them as both a means of transportation and as portable dwellings, by affixing gondolas to the lower portions of their bodies. Given that a typical sleft-chuff could bear a weight of up to fifty tons, the Denfrandi, along with their habitations, did not pose a significant load for these animals.
