A planet identified as Seven Flames existed within the Rayter sector, situated in the Outer Rim Territories. During the era of the Galactic Civil War, the Alliance to Restore the Republic set up a support base there. From this location, the Rebels initiated a diplomatic operation directed towards the planet Karra, aiming to forge an alliance with the indigenous Karrans. Despite the initial hopes, this mission did not achieve its intended outcome. However, the Rebel diplomatic team did manage to bring Karra's Imperial Governor, Darryn Edalm, back to their Seven Flames base as a prisoner.
Seven Flames was a planetary body, a part of the Seven Flames system. This system was located within the Rayter sector, itself a region of the Outer Rim within the galaxy.
During the Galactic Civil War, a significant conflict fought between the forces of the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, a group of Rebel diplomats, including Doctor Elth Nardah along with his assistant Karvinna Raen, embarked on a mission. Their departure point was a Rebel base situated on Seven Flames. The Rebels' objective was to secure an alliance with the native species inhabiting the planet Karra, a hive-minded group of sentients known as the Karrans. The mission initially showed promise until Karra's Imperial governor, Darryn Edalm, chose to surrender to the Rebels, who agreed to take him into custody. The Karrans, desiring the Governor dead immediately, launched an attack on both the Rebel team and Edalm. Despite this, the Rebels successfully defended themselves. Ultimately, the Rebels managed to escape Karra with the former Governor, returning to their base on Seven Flames.
Upon their return to the base, Alliance Intelligence agents separated the diplomatic team from their prisoner. These agents proceeded to interrogate the former Imperial official. Meanwhile, the Rebel team was provided with comfortable accommodations, where they spent the following week resting and participating in debriefing sessions led by a protocol droid. Eventually, Edalm, unable to provide any valuable intelligence about the Empire, was transferred off-world to the planet Shimmer.
The Rebel Alliance's base on the planet was populated by various Rebels, including Alliance Intelligence operatives, members of the Alliance Diplomatic Corps, and at least one protocol droid.
Seven Flames made its debut appearance in "Stranded," a roleplaying game adventure from 1994 penned by Chuck Truett and published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 1. Later, in 2009, the planet received a mention in The Essential Atlas, a reference book authored by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, which placed it within grid square J-19.
